Default Whipple air/air intercooler. Anyone done this?

I was just wondering if any of you whipple guys have hooked up an air/air intercooler? If so, any pics?

so what's involved? do you just need to have a pipe coming out of the whipple, into the intercooler, and then into the truck's intake?

so, i could just buy an intercooler, find somewhere to bolt it up, and run the pipes and it would work? That seems way too easy. Would it make a big difference in performance? could/would i still use the smc kit?

Will it make a difference... oh yeah! you can run more boost, and more timing, with reduced pinging. = more power baby.

Its too easy.... hahahahahahah. little do you know my friend.
here are a few different ways to i found to do it and keep my stock intake manifold. the problem lies with how the supercharger outlet is mounted right next too and slightly behind the intake manifold. there is hardly any room to make anything work. here are some choppy pics of some riggin i did. 2 different ways to do it.

first way is nice and sturdy, but if the box gets hot, it will warm up incoming intercooled air. it was the highest flowing method i made though.

This way is nice, but is hard to fab up where you get max air flow. i liked this way the best.

here ya go. i went and had teh box made out of aluminum. but the didnt make it as well as i made my steel box so i ditched the box idea.

I guess there is no room for have 2 small radius elbows in there then?

I like your box idea and remember the pic from a while back.

Just use an ls1/6 manifold to drop one of the planes down so that the blower outlet is not on the same plane as the manifold inlet. Taadaa
