hey, just got off the phone with whipple and that little water pump pipe that you replace in the kit is 125 bucks! what are you guys what swap motors doing to replace that part?

 

A new pump list for $188.16 but garage price is $131.72. Hell i'll ship it to you for garage price, and atleast your have a whole new pump.

 

What pipe are you talking about? I didn't have to change anything to do with the water pump.

 

He talking about the pipe where the upper hose connects to the pump.

 

Bigguy, why are you having to replace the pipe? Are there some different pumps out there? I know the ls1 pump is diff, but I thought all 5.3/6.0 pumps were the same. My first 6 liter was an '01 salvage yard engine that came complete and it had the same pump as my 5.3. I am curious as to what you have?

 

ya know what,, i just remembered ill be swapping my water pump over to the new motor! so i wont have to get a new pipe. but for you guys that are not seeing what im askin about, ill post a pic for future reference.

RED is the whipple water pump pipe.
Blue is roughly what the stock pipe was like.

I forgot i was swapping the waterpump over to the 6.0, so i wont need another pipe. MY bad.
