I know with Tbyrne running his special last month that a lot of you guys picked up your Corsa systems. I'd like to know how you like them but more importantly, where's the sound clips?
I don't want any wussy idling soundclips either, I want to hear hard launches and some revving that exceeds 2000 RPM's (like some other lame exhaust samples I've heard). Burnouts with the exhaust pointed towards the mic are welcome too.

They have those kind of soundclips on their site. The 5.3 one is pretty accurate, don't know about the others. The Pace Car one of the Vette sounds badass.
I imagine some of these guys probably haven't even got them yet, either...when i ordered mine from the Chevy dealer, it took almost 3 weeks for Corsa to get it out.

I know, I've heard the ones on the websites and the sound quality is poor. I was hoping someone would chime in with a better clip and a more realistic review on how they like it. Also, looking at the instructions on the website on how to install the system, it looks like they used oversized radiator hose clamps to hold the system together. Do these seal well? Do they rust out after a couple years of winter driving?

The clamps are high quality band clamps...they have a piece that goes betwen the 2 ends of the clamp to prevent overtightening the clamp and damaging the pipes. Mine sealed well. I'm on my first winter with it, so far it's doing great.

Those band clamps work great. When I was at UTI, we used those when trying out multiple exhaust systems on one vehicle to do dyno runs. They hold up very well and seal good too. They make it easy to take apart and put back together again quickly.
I have them on my truck as we speak. Just make sure the two pipes are clean and don't have any roughness like weld beads or anything cause they don't seal well then.

Report 1 as seen in a post earlier.
The removal of the OE system and the install of the Corsa single side exit on my 05 Z71 ECSB went easy. To remove the OE I pumped my Airlift ride height bags to the max of 100 psi and they provided plenty of clearance to remove it with out any cutting. The two nuts on the connection flange are angled as if to be as difficult to get to as possible but with some extensions and a 15mm swivel deep well socket it went smooth.
The install was a breeze. The rubber hangars were the hardest part. They were tighter than I had anticipated. There was plenty of grease left on the body attached hooks from the factory install. I learned to put the lube in the hole first instead of on the barbed tip.
It's all stainless. It looks really well made. The clamps are some serious hardware. The muffler is a straight through design.
The tips are the most elaborate I have ever seen. They both have Corsa laser etched on the tops.
The sound. Inside there is a slight noise, being just enough to remind you what you of have. It is only when you are accelerating at a medium pace at low speeds in a tall gear that it gets close to being a resonance. I am really picky about this and I can say if it were any more I would be disappointed.
Outside it is mellow at cruise and when you run it hard and it gets into the upper RPMs she roars nicely and turns heads. I took a right onto a major road about a block up stream from a huge RaceTrack gas station. Lots of folks filling up. As I went by just getting into the upper RPMs most of them looked to see what it was. It is not the sound of the standard flow mastered dual rear exit units that are most common around here. I really like it.
Performance? I think this straight through free flowing design is messing with the OE tune. There are some differences. The low end is un-changed. She winds up good but the sound is getting more of my attention now than the seat of my pants. The MPG is down by 1 mpg but you know what I have been doing. For sure I have not lost anything. I have not driven it a bunch either.
All in all I really like it. I'm glad I went with the Touring edition. All I need now is my Nelson 93 tune.
Report 2 as of last night.
I drove 2 stretches of 30 miles last night on I-75 at a serious 80 mph on cruise control and got a very consistent 17.4 mpg average. This may be down .6 or so and it was very windy and it is hilly.
I am enjoying the new pipes the more I drive it. I am feeling more power in the passing gear and on ramp acceleration runs. At cruise it is dead silent. It is most noticeable in city driving. With my dress shoes on I can JUST feel the vibration in my feet at a slow low speed acceleration up a slight hill. And it is only momentarily in a very short rpm range. This feel can only be felt or noticed by the trained mechanical types like our selves. The wife in her tiny little shoes felt nothing.
I really can appreciate the Corsa's technology when I am traveling beside a flow mastered truck on I-75 and he is LOUD at cruise. I can tell by the decals all over the rear window. The Touring is quieter than the sport but it is not a silent system like the SS. It is fun to punch.
The L33 does feel like a different motor than my LM7 and the different gearing between the two may have some effect there. In talking to Allen Nelson, he has been experimenting with the L33 in a few trucks and he says the TM is by far the worse he has ever seen. The timing is pulled way out to name just one. He says they pull so much it goes to the negative side. He see's the potential for at least a 30 hp gain to the wheels. His software does not have my VIN in the list in the present version. I am contemplating borrowing a vehicle and sending my pcm out to him.
The SS system. It got damaged in shipment. I am currently processing an insurance claim. The hump going over the rear axle got bent and kinked almost flat at the top. The front pipes are OK and I have an offer to purchase them but I may have to give them up to the insurance folks. The muffler, front pipes and tip are fine.
