Re: Where's everyone been getting their gears?
Ive heard nothin but good things about Randy's Ring and Pinion. Call tom's first and get a price with everything. Call the first one first and get all the prices and numbers you need.
http://www.tomsdifferentials.com/
Then call the Randy's and get a price.

compare prices and call the highest one's and id bet they will go cheaper.
I did this and it works. i called toms first and got a price quote of like 840 bucks for everything i needed. i called randy's next and it was like 150 bucks more expensive. i told them i found the same stuff cheaper at toms and they said, "Really! We sell them stuff all the time! Let me see if i can come off the price and do a package deal for ya."
In the end he came down to $800 shipped! almost $200 cheaper than his first quote!.
they seem real smart and willing to work with ya. Give them a call.

Re: Where's everyone been getting their gears?
ok...so for a 2wd it would be minimum of 250 cheaper since there are no front gears or install kits. sweet...i was a little worried for a minute. who is running a detroit locker and how much do they run?

I think they are a little more expensive but every one else here seems to like the eaton.
Although it never hurts to try something different.

yeah, the Eaton is pretty strong, especially with our 8.5" carrier. i've seen a heads cam 300 shot extended cab running the Eaton HP posi....that's alot of power with a 3600 stall and it performed pretty flawlessly.
