Default Where to get Stainless Tubing?!

I have called at least four suppliers of metal in my area(Southeast Wisconsin) and have yet to find anyone who has stainless tubing that I need to get rid of my cats!!! I even talked to a few friends in the machining industry to no avail.
I know Burns Stainless has it but he's kind of pricy. $18.28 per foot at my size.
http://www.burnsstainless.com/304tubing/304tubing.html

I'm looking for 16 gage 2.5" I.D. 304 SS. All I can find is 2.5 O.D. and others sizes too far off to use. 16 gage is .065" wall thickness. Thats about 2.625" O.D. at 16 gage.
How hard would it be to expand the tubing for an average muffler shop?
I think the tubing may crack under the stain of expansion.
The stock Y pipe is about 2.45" in diameter, its not really round since its all bent and stretched by the manufacturer but 2.45" is abut the average O.D.

I want to cut out my cats at home, clamp in the new section and take it to get it welded so I don't get the "well its illegal for me to cut out your cats" line.

Let me know where to get this stuff if you know of a supplier.
Maybe Burns is the only option here?
Thanks all.

Go to round stainless tube, then 304 welded.

look in your local yellow pages under "HOSE" call and ask if they have metal hose

also look under INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTORS

here is a link for information on different types of metal hose available

Those can't be cheap!! That would be cool if I wanted to make connectors to put my cats back on if I had to.
