Where Can Someone Find 4L65E 2WD? My NEW 60E Just Bit the Dust :(
#1
I have only had my "BUILT" 4L60E in for about 2 months, I supposedly had it built right....obviously not.
I had billet servos, transgo, high performance clutch plates, etc. put in it.
Where can I find a new or used 4l65E for a 2wd (not AWD) for a good price?
Please help! I need my truck back.

I am sick of breaking built 4l60e's and I'm throwing in the 6.0 in 2 weeks.
I need a serious tranny that will handle a cam'd 6.0 that will be sprayed/supercharged by next year.
Do any of you know any shops (reputable with these GM trannys) that will do the swap in or around the Houston area, or Texas for that matter?
Allen, let me know about what Joe can do for me..I need an answer soon!
Thanks everyone,
-Brandon

Thats a good price! You are doing the right thing! I beat around the bush about the 80 for about a week, and gave up. I have blown up 4 60-E's and I am tired of it. I am currently waiting for my 80 to come back from Hughes Performance in Pheonix.

I wonder how much more its gonna cost for this project in parts?
Since its a tranny out of a newer truck, and its bolting directly up to a 6.0 (what it originally came out of), it shouldn't be too bad besides matching the yokes, modifying the crossbracing & the new harness right?
I am leaving the internals alone 'till it blows...then I'll do a high performace rebuild! I figure a stock 4l80 will get me through with mods in my sig....at least until the supercharger goes in

Yeah, doing it my self.....Just wish I had more time to work on my own vehicle!
You will need a harness and tuning from www.speartech.com about 210.00
and you will need the 4L80-E fly wheel with the spacer.....should come on your 6.0 (mine did). you will also have to make some changes on the crossmember. All of it will be worth while.

This is where 01Thunder and 02Denali got their trannys from and I don't think that they have had any problems lately.
