Default Wheel hop solutions ?

What are you traction starved truck racers doing for wheel hop? What kind of traction or ladder bars are working the best? Any pictures ?

I am wheel hoping in 2 wheel drive now and 4x4 under the spray real bad.. I built some on top of the spring traction bars with swivel bearings on both ends but at only 26" long , they did not help..I just added some Rancho 9000`s rear shocks and set on the firmest setting is helping on 2 wheel drive.. Haven`t checked 4x4 yet.. I am thinking of adding some 60" long under the axle to frame traction bars next.. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated..

To my knowledge Caltrac's are the best thiong you can buy for this. I would get a pair but have no need for them yet...

I no longer have the website, But I am sure someone else here will.

Get some air bags from airlift. I have these and put them to 20psi on the left bag and 40psi on the right side. This enables a very good launch with zero wheel hop as well as the added bonus of being able to haul more stuff and level out the truck when you are holding heavy loads

Brad, thanks for the info.. I have heard of the caltrac`s but can`t find much info on them..

I guess most of the lighter , smaller tire trucks arn`t having wheel hop problems? It seems the 1/2 ton trucks would really perform well with some kind of traction bar..

Anybody running traction bars on this sight?

Air bags ? Hmmmm, didn`t think of those. I guess they would help some but not sure if the will stop axle wrap up well.. My wheel hop is horrible! I mean axle braking bad.
