Default Whats Wrong?

After I Installed My Headers My Ses Light Has Been On. I Went And Put A Scanner On It And It Said That The O2 Sensor In Bank 1 Was Not Active. They Told Me That Bank 1 Was The One Before The Cat On The Drivers Side. So I Changed It Out With Another One Of My O2 Sensors And Its Still On. Was That The Right One Or Not. Please Help!

are all 4 sensors plugged in? you probably need to get some 02 sims for your rear sensors.

Go to Autozone and they will clear the codes for free.

Bank 1 does mean the driver side but not necessarily the one before the cat. You'll need to find out if it's Bank 1 sensor 1 or 2. Sensor 1 will be the one before the cat and sensor 2 is after the cat. You'll also need to clear the code after the sensor gets replaced. It doesn't clear automatically.

mine ran a similar code. i took it to autozone and they wouldnt clear the code for me. i went to a friend's shop and found out that the catalyst in the cat had completely fell apart. made the mistake of buying high flow cats, i should have gutted them and bought o2 sims.

There a few things it could be but my best bet would be that if you have longtubes installed then your o2's might not be getting enough heat to them!! I've heard of this happening to a couple people and they said that either ceramic coating will help, exhaust wrap but they said sometimes it gets too hot, and another type of o2 sensor i can't quite remember which one it was but if you search a little more i bet you'll find it. Another thing you might want to try is... hop in the truck and roll the windows up and take a short drive and see if you hear any noise at all, and i mean ANYTHING other than your engine running and the sound of the exhaust, could be a potential gasket leak somewhere!
