whats the stock hp and torq at the wheels for the 5.3 vortec 4x4 ????

because ive added a couple goodies and so when i get my dyno done in march ill know what about how much ive gained and etc...

 

I am guessing around 220HP/250TQ at thw wheels. That is my guess, I dont swear by it.

 

My guess would be more. My '02 Denali with a cat-back put down 281/310 and it's all-wheel drive. 245/285ish ????

 

Depends on the dyno....

Mine did 242rwhp with a K&N drop in filter. This was on a Mustang dyno but it was calibrated to work similar to the dynojects in the area I believe.. Most 5.3Ls of that era wont put out more than 250rwhp stock unless the dyno is screwy.

Well They Come With 275 Stock Hp I Don't Know Tq But You Can Take 40 To 50 Hp Loss With A Auto.trans.30 To 40 With A Man.trans.

 

i thought the specs where 285hp/330torq but i knwo theres a big loss...
why cant chevy pull off what nissans doin and lose only 20 or so horses my friends titan has 287hp dynoed

 

I have also been told 285hp on a stock 5.3.

 

Not 285 at the wheels though..

 

Stock were 285 hp and 325 ft-lbs of torque at the motor. I think 15% loss is common, that would be 242 hp and 276 ft-lbs at the wheels.
