Right now i have a 3inch in/ dual 2.5 out dynomax ultraflow muffler. Its the 14 inch case i believe and it exits out the back with 4inch echo tips. I love the sound but the tips are starting to rust through so i might change the setup. I would like it to be louder though. I was thinking just get a dmh electric cutout but then i thought about maybe just getting it dumped.
My question is what would be the loudest sounding muffler i could put on there, or should i just dump my dynomax? I have cats on now btw, and i have to keep them because houston inspection laws.
If you guys could post up sound clips of your set up i would really appreciate it.

its no secret. houston only does a quick visual and plugs into your obd port. NO SNIFFER on cars from 1996 and up. as long as you dont throw any codes they will pass you.
have your factory cats gutted out and put back in. it will look like you have cats, but they wont be functional. next you gotta take care of that service engine light. thats where you call up your tuner and tell him whats up. he will fix that. no worries when you go to get inspected

Magnaflow , magnapack mufflers they are the round ones not the ovals. haha I went from Flowmasters to them, and let me tell you they are loud and have good ton they just have that raspy sound but a x-pipe would take care of that. I just put Borla's on my truck today can't wait till the morning to pick it up so I can hear it.

who do you guys go to get your converters welded back on? Most of the shops i talked to said they wouldnt touch them if i brought them in to be welded. I wish i had a mig welder and i would take care of it myself.
In yalls opinion whats louder, dumps or echo tips?

I have sound clips of both, my 5.3 w/ 3 inch to dual 2.5's on a flowmaster 50, then back to 4" x 32" echos. Mine rusted also so I cut them out and dumped right off the muffler with turn downs.... Just need a place to send the clips or someone to host them (videos)....
as far as what I think, I like the clean look of nothing in the rear and it sounds better, a deeper resonating tone, and tons louder once the hammer is dropped.
