I have a nice big magnaflow with no cats and it sounds mean at wot but is barely noticeable at idle...

With ory and headers it would prolly sound a bit more aggressive at idle, and of course much more violent at wot

Best sounding in MY OPINION is no muffler. I have the pacesetters and ory and thats it, just dumps under the the passanger seat. Ive had people at the track, gas station, at a stop light, in my neighborhood, and at countless other places comment on my exhaust and ask what im running on it.. I also get the question, "is it stupid loud inside"? No, its not, i can talk on the phone, listen to the radio, and cruise with my girlfriend, which also loves its sound. So, thats just what I say.

I am running LTs, ORY and an 18" dual in/out (2.5") magnaflow exiting stock location through dual 18" (4"dia) tips. VERY LOUD under WOT. loud all around, but it screams when i hit it. has a nice deep tone at idle. Will try for sound clips, but it usually makes speaker crackle.

I am running OBX LT, 3" Collectors, 3" O/R Y Pipe, 3 x 16" Race bullet and slight turndown.

Sounds really throaty and deep. Very raspy and NASTY loud when you want it to be. Especially WOT. Sounds like a race car. No shish.

I actually want to get a magnaflow installed in place of the bullet or in addition to so I can possibly go WOT within 5 miles of the city limits.

For comparison...my truck sounds very similar to a Ford 6.0 diesel with a 5" straight pipe.

Dunno why but it does.

On one truck i had, i installed flowmasters with duals out the back, which sounded good, but after 5 years of Ohio weather and salted roads it had to be replaced. So i went with Edlebrock single 3.5 exit on passenger side and that sounded freakin awesome and definitely pick up some bottom end torque with that exh system. Now, i have my 02 ecsb Silverado and i have Corsa sport exh and its been great! Nice aggressive sound and definitely holding up against Ohio weather we have. And paid less than $600 for it too!

I like my magnaflow, very civil around town, agressive when you get your foot into it. The only downside however is a drone from around 1700-1900 rpm that can get annoying.
