They also let me specify the value of my boat, the premium is based on what I wanted as coverage. It's actually insured for more than I paid for it.
What company are you insured through? Specified Value on the boat? Wow I need to use you insurance co! Does that include trailer & motor? What kind of boat do you have?

StateFarm....

Called this morning just to verify, and yep, customer specified value of boat and trailer (she did say "within reason"). The aftermarket items on the truck are covered by the receipts.

What kind of boat do you have?

I wouldn't mind if someone stole my truck and insurance paid for it. There are so many little details wrong with my truck I'd rather start from scratch.

However, for theft deterent, I have the stock alarm and a blinking LED. Works pretty well I guess, two years and nothing yet. At home my dogs bark at damn near everything so I doubt I wouldn't know what's going on. I keep this in my desk drawer near the front door:

Once I turn 21 it'll go under my seat.

I HAVE MINE IN THE GARAGE AND i HAVE A PAIR OF IRON GATES AND A DOG.... BUT I WOULD SAY THAT IS STILL NOT SAFE ENOUGH.
WELL ABOUT ALARMS I DONT KNOW IF THEY ARE GOOD.... MY FRIEND HAS GOTTEN HIS TRUCK BROKEN IN TWICE!! AND HE HAS AN ALARM.... THE WAY THEY KEEP ON BREAKIN IN IS THROUGH THE DRIVER SIDE EXT. CAB WINDOW!!! i DONT KNOW HOW THEY DO IT BUT IT LOOKS LIKE THEY POP IT OUT WITH A SCREWDRIVER AND THEY WONT EVEN BREAK THE WINDOW, THEY JUST SET IT ON THE FLOOR IN ONE FULL PIECE!!! AND THEY GO IN THROUGH THE WINDOW AND TAKE ALL OF HIS ****.... AND IF i AM NOT MISTAKEN THEY DO EXIT THROUGH THE FRONT DOORS BECAUSE i BELIEVE YOUR ALARM WILL NOT SOUND IF YOU OPEN THE DOOR UP THROUGH THE INSIDE..... AND YES i HAVE HEARD ABOUT THE CLUB THAT IT IS SO EASY TO CUT THE STEERING WHEEL AND REMOVE THE CLUB..... AND i HAVE HEARD THAT ALOT OF PEOPLE DONT EVEN BREAK IN CARS NO MORE THEY HAVE A CONTACT WITH A WRECKER DRIVER AND THATS ALL THEY DO, JUST USE A WRECKER AND TAKE IT WHERE EVER THEY WANT.....

If for some reason someone breaks my window which will set it off and gets in and has a key it wont matter because it will die. If someone tries to pop the hood the alarm goes off. If someone tries to get my wheels they are gonna run into 3 problems. First is I have numerous different wheel locks on each wheel, Secondly if my car gets jacked up there is an alarm that goes off when the truck isnt level and lastly when I hear my remote goes off Im coming out with a SKS with a 30 round clip! About the only thing I dont have on my alarm is the motion sensor around the truck and thats because I live in an apartment complex and my **** is out in the open so it would go off all the time plus the weather down hear would set it off but when I move to a house its on! Oh yeah and I dont leave anything in site! I always take my HU out and screen when its in! I also have a really really bright blue LED that blinks when the alarm is on. Hell I know people that just get a blinking LED and it keeps people away. There are some alarms out that arent worthy beleive that but I know the one I have and most of the good ones change codes like every 5 seconds or so!

i know this thread is kinda old but.... what kind of alarm system is this? im interested in getting one....

for those of you concerned with accumalated mileage you can do a similar operation to kill speedo data to the ipc cluster. The cruise & all still works, you just quit registering miles on the ipc
Hey so had do I make my 2003 Sierra quit registering miles? Would be a great help. i work at a Dodge dealership so these guys dont know how to make it stop except for taking everything off and I want a speedo. Thanks bro!
