Default What year 4l80?

Going to be doing the swap in the next few weeks. But I need to start getting all the parts together. I have a 01 rcsb 2wd, What year or years of 4l80e should I be searching for? Any of the different years have different sensors or part location that makes them more of a PITA? Any one have a good hook up? Any info would be great. THX

You need a '99 or newer trans (for the LSx style motor) Don't bother with the older ones-you can make them work but it isn't worth the trouble. You can identify the one you want by the fact that the cooler lines are several inches apart whereas on the older one they are close together.

Also there should be a big sticker on the pass side with a barcode on it. The first number on there is the year ie: if it starts with a 2 it is an '02 model, if it starts with 9 it is a 1999.
