Default What is WRONG?

Ok now i am getting pissed at my truck. First i put cam and springs in and put it back together. Started it for the first time no oil pressure. Took it apart needed a new o ring on the pickup tube. Fixed that.

Then put shift kit and stall in. When taking it on a test drive lost overdrive. Took it apart and found the belt adj got **** some how and it was a bitched to get out. Fixed that.

Now i have a new problem when i beet on my truck it pulls like hell then feels like it surges wines up real fast and hits rev limiter. Does that on wot at like 4800 rpms .From drive to 1st shifts and drive to 2nd shifts. In drive 80 mph or so it sits there and pulls the surges like but the motor sounds fine but trans seems to surge. Is the trans gone or what? Any idea?

hmmmm, my cavalier does something similar to what i think you're trying to say there. i changed the fuel filter, plugs, oil and headlights and it stopped doing it. try to type a little clearer when explaining something like that man please. that description is pretty choppy.

NOt sure how to say whats wrong. I thought it was something wrong with the tune but i got a new tune and still does it. It is like it hits the rev limiter everytime it is at wot above 4800+ rpms. Pulls like mad all the way there but then it revs up and governs out. But when it revs like that it stops pulling. Kind of like if you had a 5 speed and you put your foot on the clutch pedal a little bit under a load it feels like it slips. Not sure what a slipping trans feels like but it only does it at high rpms.

the springs being back to stock may be enough, i personally don't know about the shift kits...i have a stock trans built with a semi shift kit in it, shifts hard as hell and no slips yet. hope you get it figured out. if anything go find a good tranny shop around you and have them drive it and see what's up.
