What would you do??

I am sure that when my warranty expires I will be putting a whipple on my truck. The only problem is that is 2-3 years away. Would it be a waste to buy a $300+ intake and $300+ HPP3 if both are useless when I get the blower? On the other hand it would be better than stock for the couple years I have to wait. Unrelated to this, I know most of the companies that have parts for these trucks but what is a UPD intake? Thanks

Honestly, you might want to do the blower right now. It will only void the warranty on the drivetrain. But, if you have a motor / transmission issue in the next 2-3 years, you could take the time to uninstall the whipple before taking the vehicle in for service. Many people have had those kinds of issues fixed under warranty after removing various power adders.
I would pass on the whipple, and buy the Magnacharger Radix system. It may cost a little more, but you will have far fewer issues and the install should be easier. Plus, the added power from the intercooled boost will be worth its weight in gold in the summer heat and will definitely make more power. I had a whipple, and my truck sucked in the spring/summer heat.
