Yep. They won't unlock unless you have good traction. I would have done a Truetrac or and eaton myself, just $100 more. The powertrax will still be better than what you had.

Eaton would have been my posi of choice, was actually.

Over the 2, considering you had a mail order tune, I would have gone for HPTuners. I've seen some mail order tunes run. Some are decent, some are horrible.

it doesn't unlock under the conditions that the other two do. Great for drag and good weather driving, but it'll suck for any slippery conditions.

You want to hear a bad mail order tune....the Superchips!! My dad took his burb to get dynoed and his Air/fuel ratio was 10.5:1 across the board!!!! Yea, that's a little rich for a NA engine with a few mods. I'm trying to talk him into wait4me or Nelson, i don't think he wants a dynotune, just something closer with more power and no torque management.

Remember this ... you pay for what you get as far as tuning goes. I've seen some nasty mail order tunes that were 'cheap'.

Yea I know....he is working on getting something else but he is mainly going for more mpg with a nice tq increase as well. He will go Nelson this time but he wanted to give the Superchips a try. But, I can't complain...on the gtech it dropped his 1/4 mile by .15 seconds and gave him about 1.5 more mpg too with the 93 setup they have.
