Default What is the vin code for the lq4/lq9 Engine?

guy I am just curious as to what the 8th digit is in the vin of a lq9 vs lq4 motor.

I believe the lq4 is a u? Can someone clarify this for me?

And is there any way of idetifying the trans type 60 or 80e in a vin?
Thanks again
Elec

U is an LQ4 and N is a LQ9, look at the 8th character in the VIN

Cool

If you have the 6.0L then you have a 4L80E. Look for RPO code MT1 on the list in the glove box.

dry-kill has it for the vin ID for the engine.
