what Torque Converter do i need
#1
Ok guys I am about to order a Yank Torque Converter but I don't know what one I should get. I have a 2003 SS Silverado. I will need to be able to tow a boat trailer that the boat and tandem axle trailer weight 5,400 lbs. so do I need to get like a yank TT 2600 or a 3000???

I've got the TT3000 and love it. They say it still keeps the same tow rating as stock, but I think it would be a little much. Then again, with all wheel drive, it would be bad-*** in your truck. I knocked 4 tenths off of my ET with traction problems. I would think you could do better then that!....and still tow the boat, but I would ask someone at Yank or Tbyrne about that. BTW, I bought mine from Tbyrne and had a great experience. I highly recommend them as a place to get one from. I think the biggest thing is the added heat that they add to the trans, but with an external cooler you should be good.

Don't be scared of the stall, the stall is your friend. THE stall is MY friend, isn't that right my precious? <strokes the stall converter lovingly>
