you only need valve relief if your cam is running some pretty long duration i think or lots of lift would work too
Why not just try to just get an LS1 block or a 6.0L block? I think it should only be something like $500 more for a used one and a LOT less headaches.

how about 350 for a 6.0 block, crank rods and pistons? would it be that much better to go 900 and get a complete 6.0, heads intake etc. or just wait and get some s2 heads and use the cam i already have etc.

ok, i bought a 6.0 motor complete, minus manifold and injectors etc. and i'll have a set of heads for cores when i get some S2 heads. i'm getting excited now that i can finaly start my project.
