What spark plugs?
#1
Hey guys I have a 2000 Silverado with the 4.8L Vortec and I have a 9lb boost with Whipple, 4.10 gears, 50 shot of nitrous, and 2 chamber flowmasters. My question to you guys is what spark plugs are going to be the best to run on my setup. Someone told me the platniums are not good to use on a nitrous/supercharger setup. If someone could give me a few options on spark plugs it would be very appreciated. Also one more question is.... if I use a whipple at 9lbs of boost do I have to have bigger injectors? If so, does anyone know where I can find some cheap direct plug ins for this truck and how many lb injectors will I have to have? AND finally..... can I modify the computer for all this stuff with ls1 edit? and is it easy for beginners at programming the PCM by theirselves?? Thanks in advance for the help guys!!!!!

as for tuning check out the tunin section b/c i have no idea.

wow, thats alot of questions, many of witch i have done some research on around here, i can save you a little time with some of this but you should go and do some searches just to double check me.
alot of the FI guys in the cars use the NGK tr6 or the ac delco rapid fire #8 red, both of these plugs are one range colder, the rapidfire($4each) is suposta last longer than the ngk but cost more.
i think that your stock injectors will be ok for now if your NOS is a wet system, if it is a dry you might be in trouble. i would be afraid to do all that you are doing without some kind of monitoring system(atap, ease) and a fuel presure gauge. as far as cheep injectors your out of luck, you can do what big tex did in his recent post about injectors(make a set fit) or you can buy new at about $500-$700 for a set that plugs in but if you buy bigger injectors you will need programing(ls1edit)
ls1edit is prety easy to use for many things. for $550 i think it is a bargan, what is your truck running? at 9psi you probably have some KR unless you are running race gas
