the 1st thing needed is headers so it can flow
2nd i would put some e fans on
Go run it see where your at goal wise

Honestly i wouldnt go throwing a big cam in it,to me thats wasting $400 when the cam you have is capable of meeting your goal BUT to each his own.

As said already, lt's, e-fans, and some short *** tires to help your gearing disadvantage.

Well I got a little game changer! I just bought a lq4 out of an 06 2500 for real cheap! So now the question is, is there a big enough difference between a 6.0 or a 5.3 or should i sell the 6.0 to make some profit?

6.0 are junk.. Sell it to me..

6.0 would help you get low 13's a little faster.

I'm gonna race it in San Antonio Feb 25th at the ls1 shootout and if i can hit a 12 there with headers I might be happy! The elevation there is way lower than our local track, which is 3600 ft. So I'm hoping the 3000ft will give me the extra oomph I need!

Well i made up my mind im gonna keep the 5.3 and do heads and i bigger cam!!! so i have a 6.0 forsale if anybody is interested.

Well I would love a Turbo kit but I really wanna see what i can get out of it N/A first! What would it take to get 400 rear wheel HP on a 5.3?
