I believe the LQ9 has the stronger components, and best bang for the buck is Nitrous.

its the 4.8, and ive looked into doing a cam and all that and to really get a lot of power out of the 4.8 im lookin at spending a good bit when i can just drop in a lq9 and have something to work with, so what will it take to swap from a 4.8L auto tranny into a lq9? will my stock tranny be ok? and whats gonna have to be done?

Never done it before, but a few searches revealed a computer re-flash to recognize the extra cubic inches is all that's required. It would be wise to change the camshaft and match the springs for the cam, along with a matching exhaust system to seal the deal on a sweet ride.

drive by wire is an electronic throttle body, vs. cables turning the throttle blade. even if one is and the other isnt you can swap the throttlebodys and be ok.

yes it will be fine, I do not know if one throttle body is better than the other, and all the throttle body's are same size except for the SSR 90mm
