Default What should i do?

I have a 2000 ext cab 5.3 vortech sc 10lbs meth injection gibson shorty headers, bbk80mm 3 inch catback k&n FIPK 43# injectors nelson tune
I broke piston #7 so now i have a few differnet ways i could go from here. I am thinking about a Lq4 6 liter longblock (lots of torque lower compression good for boost) Or would a Ls1 with a set of Lq4 (317) heads be better. There's so many possibilities my head is spinning. I am working on a fairly tight buget but want to get the best bang for the buck whichever motor i throw in it. Also depending on how much i spend on the longblock or shortblock i will probably have enough money for Pacesetters, trailblazer tc, or a cam which would be biggest gain. Sorry for the Novel i just have so many questions.
Thanks guys

I would stick with the 6.0L idea. If you can find one dirt cheap then do it. I was having a hard time finding a good price on one that I knew was in good shape so i said screw it and rebuilt the 5.3L in the Z71.

The LS1 block is cool for weight savings but I rather like the idea of the cast block of the 6.0L for FI and a few extra cubes AND the fact it looks like a 5.3L so smog shouldn't be an issue AND you can reuse your injectors and such.

Yeah i think your right. The 6 liter is probably the way to go. If i didn't already have a sc i would have to think about it more, but the extra cubes and lower compression of the 6 liter win out. I think i can get a longblock in the 1200-1500 range and if so i will have about 400 bucks extra to spend so i was thinking of doing a cam swap or putting in a trailblazer tc but i don't think i can afford both which one should i do first or is there something else that i should do before i put the motor in?
Thanks

I'd get the converter over the cam for sure. Or save up for a better converter. A used one is a good idea.

I thought the trailblazer tc was working out pretty good for most people. I don't want it to feel "Loose" and would like to still be able to tow a lite bass boat. Would the Trailblazer tc stall at 2600-3000 behind a sc 6.0 liter? What other tc should i look into? What about this one on ebay it sure is cheap! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW
Sorry for all the question
thanks for the help

That is the price I paid for a forged 5.7 short block. I wanted the 5.7 for wehgt savings. They hold up fine to large amount of boosalso.
