Long tube headers
Cat back exhaust
Cold air intake
Under drive pullies
Electric fans
Stall Converter
Custom tune
That will get you headed in the right direction

you can start with Exhaust system, headers, intake system, and a handheld programer.

as I think this will be a very good start and it wont cost much.

There is always NOS. Definitely get a tune, for $200 more than a handheld tuner you can get HPTuners or EFIlive, as for the tuning file some people could hook you up with it.
