Default what S/C would give you the best power?

Would the Radix kit with a 3.0 pulley or a Vortech Supercharger/Intercooler, New fuel pump, injectors and fuel lines be better? Which would give you the best quarter mile time?

The Radix will perform better with the setup you are describing, the Radix makes power sooner and over a broader rev range than the Vortec which makes it's power higher in the rev range and may have a higher peak hosepower number. My 5.3 Tahoe turned a 13.2 1/4th mile with a Radix on a mostly stock motor,I doubt a Vortec can top that.

You might wanna doa search on this topic. Most people are probably tired of stating their opinions over and over everytime this question comes up.

That being said I think you'd be most happy with the Radix kit as it is very well thought out and give you plenty of power all over. If you were going fullout race then I would prefer the ATI Procharger kit but that's just me.

IMO a Turbo is an awesome choice for any which way you wanna drive. You can easily dial in the correct amount of boost, then have 2 settings. One for daily driving and another for full out race. Add and Alk/Meth injection kit and you can make some scary HP and have full boost by 3000rpm!

The choice if yours but my best advice is do alot of research on both subjects and NOT just at the dealers website. Go do google searches on turbos, superchargers, centrifugal vs roots sytle etc. Also might be a good idea to check out some of the other car forums for vehicles that come with those types of forced induction, 03's Cobras, Lightnings, Grand National, Supra or even our own Forced Induction forum.

We have installed the Radix on several SS's and the results have been outstanding. The Radix is the only choice for the SS IMO.

the radix is a sweet setup...nothing against it. but i've seen some VERY fast trucks with D1-SC ProChargers on them...they're a very nice setup.

I'd say Radix for ease and completeness. Sure would like to see the what the turbo could do with the stock motor, though.

I was a huge Vortech fan but I don't like their Aftercooler. Water cooling is great when you have ice in it but it heats up so fast that for daily driving I would rather have an air/air cooler like the Radix or ATI. Otherwise it was really reliable on my Mystang.
