Default what rpm's

what are you guys shifting at?!!! im not too sure on mine but i would like to shift the 228R at 1st - 6500, 2nd - 6400!!! I am going to be running a 28" tire at the track so should i shift higher or what

dont see y u need to shift any higher than 6600 so u should be good!

Hey TX - do you have rod bolts?!!
If all goes right today and tomorrow, i'll be hittin the track for some new #'s friday night. Just gotta find some tires to borrow....lol

nope completely stock 105,000 mile old motor other than the cam, pushrods and springs. ap is revvin his 6800 and 6700 on stock rod bolts. 01 thunder revvs his motor way up there and i dont think he has rod bolts.

so i wonder if since i had mine honed loose and file fit some new rings if i could turn like 7000 or more?????? Because the machinest told me i would gain another 400 - 500 rpm by doing that. he said less drag means more power

6800 is as high as i would want to go.
