Default What parts to use?

I'm almost ready to start ordering parts but wanted to see if i was on the right track.

2006 rclb 3/4 truck
5 speed
4.10 gear
33' tire
Truck weights 6300 lbs

I dd this truck and tow with it and use it at the local truck pulls.

I'm thinking about this

6.0 with

lt no cats 3" exhaust
heads something with small cc's (59)to get the compression up
intake FAST, Edelbrock
cam ?????
fuel parts if needed.

I need to truck to work from around 2000 up. I spin the engine to 6800 at the truck pulls. Low range 2nd gear seems to work very well just want more power.

Give me some ideas.

You're spinning to 6800 with stock cam and valve springs!?!?

would find a used Roots style blower , it will give you the grunt and powerband you want for your daily driving and truck pulling, Also a supporting cam and exhaust.

The Fast intake IMO is way expensive and not needed in your application.

With forced induction and proper tuning you will have smooth daily driving and power on demand, best of both worlds,

With a high compression high winding N/A engine you will have a powerplant that is not as friendly daily driver and not as much grunt where you want it.

You have a heavy truck and need torque.

True, roots style blower=torque.

I think I'd recommend the same thing, because you have a heavy truck and a heavy wheel/tire setup. Also because you want good power at such a low rpm as 2000 and up.

Longtubes, big exhaust, big cam/intake/heads, is a setup that will undoubtedly give more power than what you have now, but WILL move your powerband higher up in the rpm's. Often, you'll make less power below 2500-3000 rpm, then start making more power. To counter that you get an aftermarket torque converter that flashes to 3400-3600 rpm, but that doesn't really sound like it is what you're looking for.
