Castrol 10w-30 and PF59 filter I'm going to have an oil analysis done on the oil when I change it at 3,000 miles to see how it's holding up. I may try Schaeffer's synthetic blend then. It's holding up VERY well.

 

I have used mobil 1 10/30 for the last ten years plus mobil 1 filters the last year and think thay are worth the price. I drive over 50,000 miles a year towing and empty and change my oil when the oil change light comes on or every 7000 miles. I trade trucks every two years and have had two warranty issues (manual-trans) sense 1989. MY 2cents.

 

Mobil 1 10w-30 and Mobil 1 filter #206. sometimes i get some Royal Purple oil too.

 

my next change i think ill run mobile 1 everyone i work with at oriellys tells me to run it, and this will only be my second change..
ac filter since thats the best we stock...

 

Mobil 1 Synthetic 10W-30... used it for the 1st time this week, I hope it helps payin a lil extra $$$ instead of the reg oil.

 

Mobil 1 guys who are paying $4-5 a quart, I found that all 3 of the super Wal Marts around here carry a 6 qt case for $30 and a 5 qt jug for $17.88!!! I am not good at math but that's a hell of a savings!! Also I have been running FRAM filters! Man I feel stupid after just reading about how bad they are, so I went to Oreilly's and bought all their ACDelco 59's!!

 

Also since the filter on our trucks is upright fill it up with oil first before installing. This will prevent a dry start up. I also use m1 5w-30 and acdelco pf59. I use the oil life monitor and I usually get around 5k on it before it tells me to change it. The oil life monitor on my olds intrigue 3.8 goes around the same amount of time and I've never had a problem with either of them.
