Default What a Ny-trex nitrous kit can do for you

Well I went to the track tonight to test out the new nitrous sytem well needless to say I was very impressed. Befre the nitrous I was running 15.19s consistantly. Last night at the 1/8th mile I ran a 9.03 which converts to a 14.09 and that was with only a 100 shot now Im a believer of what the guy at the speed shop told me. He told me he picked up 2/10ths at the track by changing to a ny-trex nozzle and I believe I dont think anyone has dropped 1.1 seconds from jsut a 100 shot. I was very impressed. It was even good enough to take out a certain radixed rcsb 5speed out there too. . Just messin with you mj. Oh yeah and 2wd is useless no matter how much I heated up the tires. I tried it once and stayed in it and did a burnout about a 1/4 of the weay down the track up shifted to 2nd then down shifted to 1st then upshifted again and still ran a 9.4 but it through an ses light for some reason. But it went out so Im not worried. Im gettin my 13 second truck club tag next time Im going to pill it up to 125.

I hear ya! Your truck launched really hard when we ran. Your 1.9 60' to my 2.5 , all I could do was I'll have to hurry up and get a tune and some headers before you go back home so I can try to redeem myself. If I would have had my new plug wires on you wouldn't have had a chance

And while I'm making excuses. The weight of our trucks were probably a little closer than you think. I have a few things with me you didn't: a spare tire, tail gate, full tank, + the 100 lbs the radix adds and I weigh 240...that is another 100 lbs more than you soaking wet. I know, I like to eat. Just call me .

closer to 3 sec, you got me but thats how it was. i think it was mostly from the reduction of the 60' time it might have even been lower than 1.9's but i can't remember for sure.

Yeah my math is bad yeah its closer to 3 seconds I just dont know how the heck that works out I have never heard someone drop 3 seconds from a 100 shot but if you say it did then I take your word for it. Either was I was pleasantly surprised by the results.

Yeah my 60 in 2wd was like a 2.4 I spun probably a good 100 feet. Mj you really need to get some slick and you would take me probably. My truck just pulls really hard up top now. The top of second is alot stronger since I took the cats off I think it would do even better in the 1/4. I think my mph would be closer to 98-99 since it was at 88-89 before the nitrous. Having straight exhaust out the cut-outs even thoug it soundds like *** at certain rpm it really helps up top. When I raced that firebird it was just sad.

here is the video, i dont have an na run on here but it was over 16sec. only mods at this time were efans, tstat and a 100shot. i went to the track 2 weeks before this and both my na time and nitrous time were exactly .5 slower, all i had then was the 100shot.

http://www.neufamily.org/03vids/2003-10-24large.wmv

13.4 seems prety decent for a 100shot 4.8 but i got to tell you it wasn't exactly safe, i had a couple of nitrous backfires sometime after this video, to do it safely a 3000 stall and a window switch would be needed so the cost just doubled.

Couldnt load the video but I guess you just had a factory freak or something I wouldnt think that the weight difference would be that great. My times are also in this hot *** weather to so I would imagine with cooler weathe I could be in the high 13's.
