Default What is needed for a 6.0 to handle boost?

If I was to get a 6.0 (LQ4) and wanted to run 10-12lbs of boost via Supercharger/Turbo, what internal parts would need changing out? Please list the brand names and cost, if you know. I would also do a mild blower cam and port the stock 6.0 heads. Stroker is out, unless I would just have to change out the bottom end.

Thanks in advance.

I believe Parish was running about 9lbs + 100 shot on his 6.0 w/stock internals. Whipple and NX wet kit I think. To make a 4x4 ext cab run 11's - it probably had 600+ whp. The tranny sounds like the main thing you would have to worry about.....

if you stuck with 9-10lb's of intercooled boost i say run it stock, stock cam, stock heads even. worry about traction and your driveline first.

with a good tune and good gas i think a STOCK 6.0 would handle 12+psi for a quite awhile.

no matter what you build it will be the tune that determins if it lasts, keep it out of detonation.

i am sure others will chime in here with the parts required if you really want build it but i say it isn't required.

I agree with Parish 100% A stock motor will take a beating but it won't take detonation. I have no doubts mine would still be running strong had I not had it too lean after the injector install. The stock pistons are brittle and crack easily under detonation, but if you avoid the ping I say it should be fine stock.
