I want to replace my Flowmaster muffler with something that sounds alot meaner! It is a 3" center in dual 2 1/2" out. Any recommendations would be great.

alot of pep. magnaflow and corsa its all about the sound your looking 4

i have hooker aerochamber i like the sound of it
but if you dont have headers and still have cats the hooker might not be 2 loud

 

well I'll probably be going turbo so I won't have any cats or headers.

 

i just put my mangnaflow on... while driving around normal, its got a mean growl to it, but when you go wot it starts to scream.. i highly recommend it

 

yeah i hear those are the 2 besst. Gm performance are good too. but i think im going MAGNAFLOW.

Do you have headers and cats with your aero chamber? I saw your vid of the comparison between the flowmaster and the aero chamber and love the aerochamber sound. Is yours a single 3" in/out? Sorry, didn't mean to hi-jack the thread....

 

i had 2 flowmaster 40series turned down on my 02 5.3L and i swapped them out for an aeroturbine muffler and i love it! the sound is much better at high rpm and the throttle response is better because it is a straight through muffler.....it is kinda quiet at idle but what isnt at 500rpm? i think i gave about $200 for mine, it is a 3" in 3" out and i just have it up and over the rear axle facing down...
