Now ... back on subject. I don't like cleaning threads, so if it gets out of hand, it goes away.

If you guys want to have a pissing match, I would prefer you take it to PM's, but the General section or the Truckers Lounge would be a more appropriate place than here.

From the bottom of the crosshatch, to the top is one quart. If there is to much, you need to drain some out. It's better to have a quart missing than a quart to much.
