has/does anyone use the header wrap ? and does it help any by performance? i know they claim it reduces engine bay temps, but does that have any performance affects?

From my experience, the header wrap doesn't do anything for performance, but may actually retain moisture and cause the headers to rust more. If you're experiencing a problem where the PCM is tripping codes for insufficient heater operation, the header wrap may be an option to help retain some exhaust heat, although I'd recommend trying to coat the headers first.

Not that I'm aware of...ebay seems to be where everybody gets em.

Everyone says you can pass just fine if all the codes are turned off, but I doubt it. The smell of the fumes is so obvious that if they have half a brain they'll be looking under the truck for cats (or lack thereof).

The OBX y-pipe has resonators that look like cats... that should suffice for a visual.
