Default What keeps causing this problem?????

This is on a 2001 C3 that has a few thousand miles on a freshly built 6.0 with 1.85 rockers, a brand new factory tb and the reworked whipple with the bypass electronics and 43lb injectors.
This thing will run like holy cow for a week or so, and then out of nowhere, it goes into reduced power mode.
I've got a guy at the dealership that has been able to get the new tb and various wiring replaced under warranty, but they cannot seem to figure out this gremlin.
He thought he had it solved (it put out a code for the heaters to the 02 sensors) then blew that fuse. He replaced the fuse, but did'nt know why it blew. It ran fine, then upon going over a speed bump it went back into reduced power mode.
I think it's ready to go into the 12's with the cooler weather, but I don't dare drive it much for fear of walkin on the side of the road somewhere.
Any ideas????

The O2 sensor heater is part of the O2 sensor, maybe it has an intermittent short? Or possibly the PCM is picking up a fault in that circuit and going into fail safe mode? Just a couple of guesses.

you might want to look into a custom tune and have the O2's disabled. That is what I have done since I run gutted cats.

I've already got a custom tune from Nelson, but we are not going to bypass the 02's or gut the cats-just asking for more issues there imho.

Dealership found crack in the tpis, and one 02 sensor bad, so hopefully that will cure it? I guess time will tell.

Thx!

um, which O2's? if it's the rear ones, that won't do it. did the fuse blow again? reduced power mode is induced by knock, IE: bad gas. what kind of build was done to the motor? how tight are the knock sensors? is anything rattling or hitting?

What he said!!!! Try to get some 104 octane for a tank and see if it does it. It could be false knock, so the 104 sould at least tell you that.
