The Guy in MY 99TA

I just priced a complete LQ9 assmebly(intake, injectors, manifolds, etc.) and I also priced a long block and it wasn't but 200 bucks cheaper. SO I was wondering if I would be better off to just go ahead and buy the whole set up and just use the injectors?

I also forgot to add that it also has a $250 core charge.

It depends on the year, but i believe a 03 has 28 and the 04 and later are in the 30's somewhere. That is based on duty cycle when they are tuned.

They have the same as the 4.8 and 5.3 which is 26.5# if I am not mistaken. Then next step up in the MultecII injectors is the 8.1 truck (31#) then the 8.1 marine (42#).

I'm pretty sure that the 00-02 4.8, 5.3, & 6.0 injectors are 24.7lb/hr, 99's were 21 lb/hr. Recently swapped a set of 02 6.0 injectors into my 99 5.3.

Yep, 24.7!! I thought the 8.1 injectors were 30.

My Multec2's are the 8.1L Marines and are stated to be 43#'s
