what an experience. im rounding up parts do do most of what you did, except im gonna try and cram it into one weekend. im gonna order my tune before hand, and by extra parts so i dont have to modify anything during the process. im glad it worked out for you, it must be a huuuge difference.

list of stuff i'll be doing:
WCCH 200cc edelbrock heads
ls6 manifold
stock fuel rain and injectors (flex fuel 38#,hopefully i can pull the ends off to fit in the manifold)
VMAX ground comp cam
pulleys
timing assebmly
dyantech headers and cats system
ported 78mm throttle body
rod bolts
nelson tune, then dyno tune
97 vette water pump

and all the little stuff in between

my advantage is i work for my dad, and thats where all my tools are. i can lock my truck up at night, drive a company vehicle home, and napa is within walking distance. so if everything doesnt go as planned i wont be totally screwed.

head bolts,
head gaskets,
red or blue lock tite

and maybe adapters for he flex fuel injectors . . . unless you truck already came like that . .

i didnt feel the need to list all the necessary stuff. my truck has the l59 engine, so it already has the bigger injectors and (i think) fuel pump. i have about $3k on my credit card to pay off, and a few more on my dirtbike before i start buying all the stuff for this, so its gonna be a little bit. i will definitely do a write-up with pictures when i do it though.

UPDATE!!

Finally got to the track Friday!

Still can't get my 60' times down, but I did pick up almost a half second and 5mph

So I guess the heads intake and cam are working. I still have not had a dyno tune yet, only about a 2hr SD street tune.

Good Job!

When I first started out with "Big Red", 14'95 was good.

Keep up the good work.
