what headers for my charged truck ?
#1
Doing some homework on what headers to slap in my 02 sierra with the ati procharger runing 8-9psi i've got a magnaflow 3" in dual 2.5 out setup bbk 80mm tb
thinking about long tubes maybe?
Will headers lean my air fuel out more ?
Looking for some more grunt in the lower rpms
i have a yank 3000 stall in it now so i wanna get some more in the lower rpm range to get the thing rolling a little faster off the start
any other mods that will give me more low end torque ?
thanks guys for any input

Just my preference but if I had your set up I would go with the ASMs and open the exhaust up a bit more. Maybe go with 2.5" duals all the way out. And with that converter it makes up for the lowend. IMO.

being that you have the supercharger, i would go with any of the long or mid length headers made for our truck (they all perform the same) and then probably something bigger than dual 2 1/2" just to get rid of as much back pressure as possible with the supercharger. maybe dual 3" all the way back with dual cutouts too for the track

I'm not sure if you can run an aftermarket pulley with the procharger, but that will help out the low end. Electric fans will also help get the truck moving by taking drag off the engine. I agree with BigKid, I think ASM would be my choice of headers with your setup. Are you gonna do H/C too? If so, ASM for sure. I have the Hamms' and I love the power and sound, but if I was going all out with the truck, ASM would have been my choice.
With a charger and a stall, I wouldn't think you would have a problem getting the truck moving. If you do, spray that bad boy <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> That will help the low end <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />
