Default What headers to get?

I am thinking about buying a 04 5.3 1500 with the Joe Gibbs SC package on it and want to do headers. I would like to maintain my factory cats or get a setup with highflow cats. What is the best set up for the trucks.

It also comes with a Corsa cat back. Is this a good catback? I know the SS Camaro had a option for a high flow exhaust from SLP but the aftermarket catbacks were still better. I know Corsa is good but is this a more restrictive version for GM?

save money and just buy a regular truck. the sc joe gibbs setup is too much money for what you get. you can do all the mods they do, plus a ton more, for half the money. but... if you want a warranty......... i guess that's the way to go.

I understand you could do the same mods for a little less. However I figured after brakes, wheels, tires, SC, fuel system, labor, tuning, etc. it would probably be pretty close and I would kiss my warrenty on a new truck good buy.

This way I maintain my warrenty and I already talked to my dealers service manager about the headers. He said if I maintained cats (he preferred to keep the stock ones) I would not have any warrenty issues wiht them.

I agree; the Dynatech SuperMaxx system is a little pricey, but it's T-304 stainless steel with SS Y-pipe and high-flow cats. It'll bolt up to your existing set-up and would be a killer addition to your Corsa exhaust!
