Wester's crap neccessitated me spending another $400 with a local tuner just so my truck was drivable!! You could spend the $500 on HPTuners, add a little timing, and firm up your shift points and get better service and utility in the future.
Other than that EL fans, UD pulleys, and those Pace Setter longtubes would make a nice difference.

I'm CERTAIN there's more to the story than that. I can not imagine Lyndon treating anyone like that, or refusing to do a retune, UNLESS there's more to it.
I'm not calling you a liar in the least, I believe you had a bad experience if you say so, but to the degree you're stating here seems a bit much.
And- you'd be the first I've ever heard with such a bad story. I've heard of a few disgruntled customers, but in the end, it was resolved with either a refund or a new tune.
So, ultimately, did you get your money back or a new tune or just decide to suck-up the loss and move on ??
Sorry about your experience with Wester's, but I stand by my words- Wester's tune kick ***, second to none. 1 unhappy customer in 1000's of way-happy customers ain't a bad ratio. EVERY company will always have a glitch or problem that makes someone unhappy at some point of time.

I called him up to let him know I was buying a Vortech and asked what I would need to get everything to work. He said I would need 43lb injectors at least. I purchased some and called him the day the kit came which was 2 weeks before I scheduled install. He said the PCM would be to me in about a week. 2 weeks comes and I make another call. They misplaced it. This goes on until I finally get my PCM 7 weeks after my first call telling him what I needed. As I said, it was totally undrivable. I called and he said it was probably the open element filter I was using
. So I got a sealed airbox. Same deal, so he asks if Im sure they are 43lb injectors. I say yes. He asks for the part number. I said I dont have it. He says to get it and he will look into it. I explain that my truck has been down for some time and I need something drivable. He says he will get me a new tune when I get him a part number. I couldnt get ahold of him 2 days later when I finally got the part number. Left 3 messages, never got a returned call. By the next week and still not being able to reach him, I sucked it up and paid another $400 out of pocket. After having to go to GM to have my PCM reflashed to get over THE LOCK he had on it, we saw that he not only incorrectly changed the IFR so it was way lean, he also had over 20* of timing in a nonintercooled vehicle. Those are the facts. I wont hijack any more of this thread, but I want others to know of my experience with Westers. I paid $500 and this is what I got for it.
Im sure the IFR thing was just a mistake and Im sure that he is a good tuner, BUT he didnt give a **** enough about the tune I had waited nearly 2 months for and made 6 calls about. Im not as good of a tuner by any margin, but I can do better than what I got from him and its a lot cheaper.

Hmmm never really considered the possibly of a tune. But when you look at it I guess. With e-Fans and a Pully....I cna get 1 Tune and drop more time than those 2 would put together. If I do get a tune Iv just heard to many good thigns about Nelson so theres no doubt I will be going there. How much time did yall drop? If I get other mods later...will another tune cost me again....cuz iv heard that he'll send updates for my new parts for free. I think ima give him a call this afteroon and see wat he'll do for me. Thx for hte opinion guys. How much time u think ill drop on a semi stock truck.

THE ONLY OTHER THING I HAVE DONE TO THE TRUCK IS A K&N FIPK SO IT IS BASICALLY STOCK SO YOU WILL HAVE SOMETHING TO COMPARE IT TO. I WOULD GET THE E FANS AND THE PULLEY. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT GET SHORTY HEADERS THEY SUCK ***. I PUT THEM ON MY OLD 97 GMC AND IT DIDNT DO ANYTHING BUT LIGHTEN MY POCKET ABOUT $250. SAVE UP FOR SOME GOOD LONG TUBES. IM NOT SAYING THAT PACESETTERS ARENT GOOD BUT I WOULD'NT GET THOSE, I WOULD GO WITH ASM, OR DYNATECH. IMO
THen buying the harness from Nelson soon after that
Then as soon as i save up for the tune I sure will be getting that. How did he charge you? and wat engine u got??

Since you already have fans now, save up for a Tune next, and get the wiring harness at the same time so Nelson can set the pcm to controll the fans.
The next best thing besides headers, or nitrous is a higher stall converter.
That would really help the 4.8 get moving, probably knock off 1/2 second...and with the custom tune you will be running.
