By that I mean brand and size etc. So far I think I will go Magnaflow, but what length and diameter. Not sure of the laws here in Virginia yet as to what I can do. Should I run true duals? Not sure if I plan on running headers yet. Thanks in advance, and I would especially love info from the Tahoe guys. Truck is in my sig.

Are going to have a custom pipe bender do this for you? If so, I have heard that the Magna flo sound pretty good. They are a little aggresive for me on my daily driver, but I am getting older, so things seem louder than they used to.
You could also try Dynomax's Ultra Flo mufflers. They are similar to the M's.
If you have dual cats, you could run true duals and put an H pipe in there and balance the system. I would not go more than 2.5 inch on each pipe. If you do a single, I would go 3 inch.

if you want just a very low rumble then go with the magnaflow...with the 22" case, thats what I put on my DD with not cats and I am loving it, I dont like the loud rumble for a DD thats why I optioned for that big case magnaflow...... I believe the part# is 12579?? not sure though, so if you are going to leave the cats on Im pretty sure it'll be quiter...

I am not sure of the laws here and I want to stay legal. I assume I need cats here in Virgina I am not looking for overly excessive noise. I like a nice deep throaty rumble at WOT. I had Flowmaster with the huge pipes on my truck, just didn't sound good at WOT, but had a nice rumble at idle.

What would be the benefit of running true duals? More perfromance or sound?
