Just wondering what else breaks on 2500HD's or goes

Here what I know so far:

tierod's
front cv axles
power steering pump shafts on hydro-boost models
driveshafts on duramax model in truck pulls
bolts for front sway bar mounts rip out when off-road
front air dam rips off when off-road

What are you doing with your truck? I've got an '01 EC Dually 4x4, 8.1 allison, 4.10's. The only thing I've had a problem with is the motor mount from sled pulling. My buddies Duramax exploded a rear driveshaft pulling a few weeks ago but it's no where near stock. If you're pulling - get in touch with me and we can compare notes to see if you're doing all the 'tricks' that not only allow you to pull more but keeps your truck from breaking!

 

I don't know what he been doing but I've broke the power steering pump, 3sets of tierods, engine mount, ring land on #5 cyl, and half backed the lockup converter. It's nice to see another 8.1 guy on hear seams there not to many of us around. When I get my truck back together I'm thinking about doing some pulling. If I run in to you at a pull look out I'll be packen some good power.

 

What is pulling? Are you guys talking about trailers and stuff, or what? What do you pull?

ChevysilveradoHD : pm sent for notes on pulling. forgot to add what happen to your motor mount? should be chaining the motor? I will have to add that to my list of parts to have on hand - motor mounts.

marc_w : Duramax are starting to clean up in truck pulling, which mostly a dodge show. Showing them some Chevy power. Just the Gassers need to hurry up, and start to kick some old school ***, Which is mostly 70's-80's era trucks, with carbs!!!
