what is EGR trim?

look at www.installuniversity.com there you'll find what it is and how to cut it. your basically cutting off a little peice of metal that sits behind the throttle body. not sure if it helps to cut it, i didn't notice anything. be careful when doing it!

I did this one a long time ago and it helped in the mid to upper rpm ranges and no change off idle. The biggest thing to remember is to not bend the tubes when removing them. Also make sure that you clean off any debris after cutting so it doesn't find it's way into your engine. I found that putting a light coat of oil on the rubber gasket on the intake tube helped to get it back into the hole easier. I didn't disassemble the egr valve itself, I just undid the exhaust manifold bolts, bolt on the intake and then undid the two bolts holding the egr assembly to the block and took it off as one unit. I cut mine off so that everything beyond the fat part of the intake tube was removed, something like 1 3/4" off the pipe. You might also want to clean your tb while you're in the neighborhood with a spray cleaner.
