This is exactly what I was thinking. I have seen a couple of kits which were air bag helpers, to rectify this type of situation. I figure if you need to put air bag helpers on, why not just bag the rear in the first place.

So, with that in mind, has anyone bagged the rear for just a modest 2 or 4 inch drop? If so, how is that ride?

It would be quite a bit more work to just bag the rear for a 4" drop....you'd have to have the compressor, tank, lines, switches etc etc.....while the 'helper bags' just hook up to an external compressor to compensate for loads.

I have a 3" spring up front. I got the whole kit for 260. Its probably cheaper now. I have the western chassis lowering kit. I have had no problems with it at all..

2/4. Spring in the front and spring in rear.
If you didn't want a rough ride, why are you getting them?
What, did you get a deal on them or something?
You've driven my truck, you know how it rides. Get the sway bars too, cheap ***.

@ chingon. go with McGaughys blown. It sounds promising.

but...

Why does Hotchkis sell different sway bar kits for different drops? I dont understand suspension what so ever

I think it has to do with clearance issues.
