Exclamation What does your AirRaid MIT look like? Going to buy soon...

I am going to buy a AirRaid MIT for my 2006 Vortec Max LQ9 soon.

After doing some searching on here I found this link from Summit:

Is this the same MIT that everyone else is using? It looks a tad different than the pic on thier website:NON SPONSOR LINK

I just want to make sure I get the right one.

Does anyone else sell the MIT other than Summit? Looking for the best price.

Since my truck is 100% stock right now, I am going to do a full "before and after" dyno comparision (with tuning) in the fall when the temps are in the 60-70 degree range on a Dyno Jet.

Bill

The MIT is a good intake but have you considered the True Flow intake before? It's basically the same idea as the MIT. Check it out here..NON SPONSOR LINK

What's the cost of the TrueFlow? Where do you buy it at?

Is a metal intake tube a bad idea tho, w/ the True Flow? Obviously durability is improved over plastic however it seems the tube would get hot w/ engine heat and defeat the purpose. Obviously there is no perfect system out there but it seems a plastic tube would keep temps lower....

I believe K&N has a intake tube wrap now. it comes with velcro on each side and just wraps around.
