what do you think of these parts?.

this will be on a 8.1L suburban.
Volant cold air intake,
Volant Ram air scoupe, (goes behind the front bumper i think the guy said)
One of those throttle body spacers.
Stainless works long tube headers
3" High flow cats.
Edelbrock cat back, dual 3" in one single 4" out with a chrome tip yo
These parts are to come after stock dyno pull's..
We are also going to delete drive line protection, Throttle delay, and torque manangement once we get some reliable numbers.
That way we can see how bad GM is giving us the shaft with the electric watch dogs. And we will be able to tell if anyof the parts do anything.
I also noticed edelbrock makes headers as well as hooker. Just not sure if any one of them is better than the other one.
IF you all have any suggestions or reason why not to use something feel free to post. Im alwasy up for information and suggestions.

I have both StainlessWorks and Volant stuff on my 5.3 and the quality is excellent. It's been proven that the throttle body spacers aren't worth diddly on the GENIII motors, but I'm not sure if they're any good on the 8.1.

the throttle body spacer should, by using logic/physics, NOT provide any gains, just as on a LSx. since you have direct multi-port fuel injection. the TB spacers only work on vehicles where both air and fuel pass through the spacer.
if im not mistaken the SW headers have 2" primaries and i thought they have 3.5" collectors, may be wrong though.
might try some efans and UD pulleys to free up some HP

thansk.... keep the ideas comming..
The guy at the parts store said that the spacer think will not show much hp improvement if any on the 8.1L but it does ad 40lbtq... still not sure how that would work...

NO ******* WAY! i dont care what motor it is no way is a tb spacer adding 40TQ. i can see some sort of part adding 1hp/15tq on the 496 becuase that is just the nature of that motor to have mods add more tq than hp.
not calling BS on you but on whoever told you. id need a dyno sheet to prove it.

K so ditch the space save $40-50 bucks... that will give me a 3/4 tank of gas!
Stainless works has this posted about the headers.
2003 Chevy/GMC Truck-8.1L. 2" primary tubes, uses factory headpipes and cats-long tube design makes great low end torque and horsepower. Also available in 1 7/8 and 1 3/4.
