But yeah the powerband really kicks in right at 3200rpms hard.
She breathes very well uptop as well making peak power at 5800 holding a damn near flat line till 6400 and only drops 11hp from peak at 6700.
And thats why I would want to go with a wee bit bigger cam then the ones posted, since any larger cam(within reason) is going to bring the power levels up more down low too, just some more then others.

Also I think he is worried about tq while cruising(aka tc locked going down the highway) I bet you have plenty of power without having to downshift with that combo.

Seems anything larger would bring your lowend power down and give more mid range to high end power ?

You are totally right, my point was a cam larger then stock is going to give you more power down low as well as up top and IMO the 220 duration given the 4* advance "usually" ground into these cams is the perfect balance point between upper rpm power and giving a nice added bump in lower rpm(aka cruise rpm) power. Just my opinion of course.

Hmm... I have a Comp 216/220 .525/.532 114lsa cam in the FS section. Run pretty good in my RCSB with 19mpg hwy (running rich w/ a sofa & love seat in the bed <--- yup, that's right!). Idle quality was awesome to say there was a lot left in the tune, and low to mid range power would spin the tires through 1st into 2nd from a dig.

*edit* Truck had 13s in it before I removed the cam... wish I took it to the track to prove before I removed it.

The reason I bought this cam was for the broad power range (1800 - 5500). I could spin the tires easily at 2K (gotta find a solution), and I have a PTC3000 hi-stall TC. I can tell you that as a DD, my truck is awesome. I went with a slightly larger cam b/c I do not drive it as much as I used to b/c my daily commute is pretty long (ricer is better on mpg's).
