Default What do you guys think about this package

I just wanted to first off apologize I know that there are 9,999,999,999 forms regarding this but I've been reading countless forms on Cams and have been researching for about 2 months and I think I have made up my mind on what I want to do. I just wanted to hear some advice more towards my application.
Including upgrades already installed in Sig, I was going to install:

Comp Cams XTREME RPM HIGH LIFT XR275HR - 222/224 - .566/.568- 112 LSA
GM Performance Parts LS6 Valve Springs
Comp Cams Gen III/LS1/LS6 Pushrods 5/16 7.400 Length

It's a daily driver, but I want a very noticeable choppy idle I want to get tickets when I goto the beach for it being to loud and not to sound like an idiot but that is really why I am doing it just figured I would be honest with you guys(not the ticket part but the cam install), and do I have to install a converter for this cam does it need to be done right away or is it alright to wait untill a couple months go by. And do the stock retainers work with the LS6 springs

Zippy runs that cam with LS6 springs, not sure if he has a converter though. I remember reading that he spent so much time tuning it that you can't even tell it's there at idle (so I guess it's all in the tune). His truck is a rcsb and runs low 14's (almost 14 flat) on factory 20's I believe.

correct...Zippy is on stock stall and runs 14.0
damn good times!
I would reccomend a little tougher spring though...comp 918 or the pac 1518
stock retainers will be fine.
I wouldnt worry about a converter right away...im running a TR220/112 and I gained performance down low didnt lose a thing.

Well if you plan on a stiffer spring, I recommend going with the PAC's over the Comps, heard horror stories of the Comps breaking, including the new silver 918's.

I used LS6 springs with that cam and I shifted at 7k regularly at the track (ask people how it sounded!!) and it did fine... Not exactly the smartest thing, but i never had problems...

Zippy doesn't seem to be having any problems either, I know that he's an LS6 spring advocate

Some good info so far, I'm not to thrilled about changing the stall/verter so if I don't absolutely have to then I wont until my tranny blows some were down the road. I thought the LS6 springs were plenty strong enough to a .580 lift or something in that area. Corey did you really turn your truck up to 7K, how many "miles" did you have on those springs.
