Get a 95+ 4.3L (L35) S-10 converter. Stalls higher than a stock unit. Works just like the Trailblazer converter on 99+ Gm trucks. You could probably find them for ~$200. Also try an ASP UD pulley. Think they are about $65 @ summit. And maybe a mild cam. They should run around $100....plus pushrods and springs another $90. This will improved low, mid, and high end w/ ~$450.

I would also suggest selling the HPP3 and getting a custom tune. (you should be able to sell the hypertech for at least what the tune costs you) You'll get much better performance and mileage from the tune.

Then start saving for some headers. I've heard good things about Thorley headers on these trucks plus they are mid lenght so they might clear on a droped truck like yours.

Then some efans and the rest of the bolt-ons. (wires, plugs, removed cats, ect.)

Finally a 100 shot of NAAWWS . All this should get your truck moving pretty quick.
