Hey everyone, for the first time in about 2 months I capped my cutout today. It seriously feels like I lost 50 lb/ft of torque. I really notice it down low. Setup is the headers into catted 2.5" Y with the stock catback w/cutout at the front of it and a magnaflow 22" muffler welded in. I love how it sounds open cutout around town, but on the highway I can't even have a conversation with my passenger. Is there a catback I can bolt on that will give me nice loud sound, relatively quiet on the highway, and no loss of power over the open cutout? Would running a 3.5" pipe all the way back dumped over the axle reduce highway noise? Need a solution here. Thanks!

For flow you wont get much performance out of another muffler, magnaflow should be all you need. a resonator like the loudmouth will flow better but will...be loud.
I would get an electric cutout, best of both worlds.
oh and im pretty sure your mind is playing tricks on you, your not loosing that much power, just not going to happen
