I'm not saying that it won't be a bad motor. Because it's LSX based aftermarket support will be immense. Its just not for me.... Half the rush of the whole power thing is the sound... the feel... If it wasn't for that then we would all be driving turbo I4's w/ fart pipes... they go into 11-12's too... in my personal preference, the sound of a large displacemnt V8 can never be beaten

 

I also just read in Sport Truck mag about a head/intake kit for the 8.1L from Raylar Engine Development, www.raylarengine.com , that looks promising. Check it out!

 

Yeap, I've been waiting sense September for Raylar to ship me my heads and intake.

 

thats one problem with the 8.1 only one company out there. Heck even headers take 6-8 weeks to get.

Besides whos know what a Chevorlet V10 will sound like ???

 

Guess I wasn't the only one waiting. My stuff was supposed to ship for awhile. Pretty much one of the reasons why I scraped the project and went with a Duramax.
